Hello world ;) I try to get pam_mount-0.3.8 working on Debian GNU/Linux 3.0, but I don't succeed - although I succeeded half a year ago with pam_mount-0.3.1 or so... I also wrote a mail to the current maintainer, who told me that is a known issue and he will fix it ASAP - that's very fine! But does somebody else know the fix and can help me now ? That's what I have installed (compiled from sources) drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2002-09-24 10:22:37 lib/ drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2002-09-24 10:22:56 lib/security/ -rw-r--r-- root/root 114770 2002-09-24 10:19:09 lib/security/pam_mount.a -rwxr-xr-x root/root 714 2002-09-24 10:19:09 lib/security/pam_mount.la -rwxr-xr-x root/root 74581 2002-09-24 10:19:09 lib/security/pam_mount.so drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2002-09-24 10:22:22 usr/ drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2002-09-24 10:19:09 usr/bin/ -rwxr-xr-x root/root 65283 2002-09-24 10:19:09 usr/bin/pmhelper drwxr-xr-x root/root 0 2002-09-24 10:19:09 usr/include/ -rw-r--r-- root/root 1113 2002-09-24 10:19:09 usr/include/pam_mount.h plus these are the options in /etc/security/pam_mount.conf lsof /usr/sbin/lsof options_require nosuid,nodev smbmount /usr/bin/mount -t smbfs umount /bin/umount pmhelper /usr/bin/pmhelper volume * smb Servername Volume2 /home/&/Volume2 uid=&,gid=&,rw,iocharset=iso8859-1,codepage=cp850 I can mount and unmount manually. My /etc/pam.d/kde looks like this: auth required pam_nologin.so auth required pam_env.so auth sufficient pam_unix.so auth required pam_smb_auth.so use_first_pass account required pam_unix.so password required pam_unix.so session required pam_unix.so session required pam_mount.so use_first_pass The system authenticates through an NT-Athentification-Server and SMB, which is working quite well. Many thanks for your help (hopefully ;) and time!
