DSO-Compiling Error: apxs:Error: Command failed with rc=65536

By compiling of the mod_auth_pam (mod_auth_pam-2.0-1.1.1) for apache2 for
DSO I get the follow error:

/mod_auth_pam>make            
/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs -c mod_auth_pam.c -lpam
/usr/local/apache2/build/libtool --silent --mode=compile gcc -prefer-pic

Can anybody help to fix this problem.
