Thanks ! Using the 'promiscuous' option fixed my problem. Now my /etc/pam.d/rlogin looks like: #%PAM-1.0 auth sufficient /lib/security/pam_rhosts_auth.so promiscuous auth required /lib/security/pam_securetty.so auth required /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth auth required /lib/security/pam_nologin.so account required /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth password required /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth session required /lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth and it works great ! /Dan Andrew Morgan wrote: > I don't know what version of pam you are using, but here is the > documentation for the rhosts module from the latest release: > > http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/libs/pam/Linux-PAM-html/pam-6.html#ss6.21 > > You might read through the options, especially the 'promiscuous' one. > > Cheers > > Andrew > > Dan Windekilde wrote: > > > > Thanks > > > > It works having .rhost like > > foo.bar.com username > > > > Having .rhost like > > + username > > does NOT work. > > > > /Dan > > _______________________________________________ > > Pam-list@redhat.com > https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/pam-list -- _ _ ____ ___ Dan Windekilde Mailto:danw@mips.com |\ /|||___)(___ MIPS Denmark Direct: +45 44 86 55 48 | \/ ||| ____) Lautrupvang 4 B Switch: +45 44 86 55 55 TECHNOLOGIES DK-2750 Ballerup Fax...: +45 44 86 55 56 Denmark http://www.mips.com/
