Hi All, Using Redhat 7.2, 2.4.7-10 and glibc 2.2. I can not seem to make the passwd: compat mode work. I defined the /etc/nsswitch.conf as passwd: compat group: compat shadow: compat passwd_compat: nis and so on.. But the authentication never works, if I replace passwd: files nis everything is fine. The passwd NIS map is being served by a solaris server, and is using passwd.adjunct map. My missing link may be netgroup pam module? Appreciate any ideas.
