Hello OpenSSL Users,
The OpenSSL FIPS 140-3 cryptographic module has moved from the “Review Pending” phase to the “Coordination” phase on the NIST CMVP Modules-In-Process list. The transition signifies that the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) have completed their initial review and are finalizing any remaining clarifications with OpenSSL and the accredited testing laboratory.
Key Details:
- FIPS 140-3 Validation Progress: The Coordination phase confirms that the module meets core security requirements and is approaching full certification.
- Next Steps: Final certification will occur after all documentation and technical inquiries receive clearance.
