If not, can the OpenSSL project consider adding them. They are very
useful for managing projects that depend on older and newer OpenSSL
libraries. OpenSSL taking on the responsibility would help ensure
consistency and quality.


The topic of backwards-compat headers has come up a few times previously on the list; with the resolution being a call for some external contributor to host and maintain them.

So, no, OpenSSL does not distribute such things.
