Oh man... Comcast at work is the pits (not sure what it is about their
copper in the segment where I work). Its so bad, there's actually a
script to mimic them. See, for example,
https://github.com/tylertreat/Comcast: "Simulating shitty network
connections so you can build better systems".

Perhaps that should be an OpenSSL test case written into the
engineering process :)
