Confusion using "ssh-add -D" and then "ssh-add -l"

I'm confused by the following:-

What's going on here?  I was expecting all the entries to disappear,
but they don't.

I checked when reverting to my default 'chris' login with
$HOME=/home/chris but it's exactly the same:-

I guess I'm misunderstanding something but I don't see what at the moment.
