I'm also interested to know if anyone has had a chance to review this
patch set, since Ubuntu is currently carrying a part of it in order to
support hardware acceleration on s390x.

It may be a good idea for you to turn this into a bug report on
bugzilla.mindrot.org so that it doesn't get lost.
