Solaris 10 + OpenSSH locale settings

Hi,

I am using OpenSSH 6.6p1 on Solaris 10.

My question is in regards to locale setup.

It doesn't appear to be acknowledging the locale variables located in /etc/default/init

Besides user profiles, where does OpenSSH obtain the default LANG/LC* variables from by default? and does it acknowledge the locale

settings we placed into /etc/default/init file?

Regards
