Amusingly, when trying to search for this the only result I could come
up with was my own at

It was seeing a similar issue there, but I didn't identify spaces in the
interface name as the issue. In fact, I don't know *what* the issue was.
I think I eventually did get the tap driver working on that box but
possibly only by removing it and installing again. Perhaps just renaming
it would have been sufficient ? but it certainly works with spaces now.

And sacrificing goats.

I really do hate Windows.
