Great advice! I do have TunTapOSX installed but not running. 
Once I enabled it ("port load tuntaposx"), I can get openconnect 
works as intended.

This produce this error:

Invalid interface name 'utun0'; must match 'tun%d'
Set up tun device failed


Furthermore, there is no "utun*" device in this system:
