Hi Karol,

Yes, I have tried not using any custom Xorg config. That gives me a blank screen under both Fedora 34 and Fedora 36.
Or, more precisely: My /etc/X11 contains no xorg.conf. My /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d only contains a file named
00-keyboard.conf which is written by systemd-localed(8). If I do not add an
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-monitor.conf then I get a blank screen instead of a login screen.
My screen went blank first time at upgrade from 5.8.18-300.fc33.x86_64 to 5.9.9-200.fc33.x86_64, cf
https://ask.fedoraproject.org/t/no-login-screen-after-upgrade/10618 . It was after that upgrade I added an
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-monitor.conf. Now my screen has gone blank a second time at upgrade from Fedora 34 to 36, and I am a bit short of ideas what to do from here.
Cheers,
Klaus
