I wish to get actively involved in nouveau driver development

Hello everyone
I'm a 2nd year Computer Science student in India.

I'm proficient in C++, Data Structures and Algorithms, Linux and git.
I've been using Linux for about 2 years now and shifted to Arch Linux with i3wm a year ago.

I wish to get involved in nouveau driver development. 
Any kind of suggestions on how to get started with development would be great.
