If the HDA is kept runtime resumed, e.g. if it is accessed by a user space
application, then the GPU is kept runtime resumed as well.

Check the runtime PM status of the HDA:
grep . /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:01:00.1/power/*

Check if user space applications have opened the HDA:
lsof /dev/snd/controlC1
