Bug2 in 1.0.7.1

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Setup:
Sun Sparc 20 / Solaris 2.5, nntpcache 1.0.7.1 (with listgroups patch),
INN 1.5.1 local server.

Summary: ihaveServer directive doesn't work.

With the above setup I am using:
ihaveServer news.tibus.net:8119
where I have INN 1.5.1 running. hosts.nntp provides access from
news.tibus.net
sparc.tibus.net
localhost

In servers file I have:
news.tibus.net:8119 sparc.tibus.net. 10m 12h 12h
10m 0 0

The following is from syslog with full debugging on:
Nov 17 17:49:16 sparcy nntpcached[6655]: eebau.tibus.net connect from unknown@eebau.tibus.net (194.74.214.10)

Nov 17 17:49:23 sparcy nntpcached[6655]: sockets.c:150:Resource temporarily unavailable: error reading from news server

As you can see the connection is being dropped, however, as you can see from
the 4th syslog line, nntpcache is being served the correct INN banner.

We can also tell from the logs that nntpcache is correctly connecting as
'sparc.tibus.net'.

=> nntpcache is not correctly passing on the ihave <....> command.

Thoughts? Bug fix?
