I can not get it to compile; % sh configure works but the make gives : me@genius 183 > make (read v < VERSION; echo '#define' VERSION \"$v\" > version.h) cpp="gcc -E"; export cpp; /bin/sh genextern.sh *.c > extern.h cd libproff && make (read v < VERSION; echo '#define' VERSION \"$v\" > version.h) cpp="gcc -E"; export cpp; /bin/sh ../genextern.sh *.c >extern.h cpp: Warning: : 7: Not in a conditional directive while using endif cpp: Warning: : 16: Not in a conditional directive while using endif cpp: Warning: : 19: Not in a conditional directive while using endif cpp: Warning: : 22: Not in a conditional directive while using endif cpp: Warning: : 42: Not in a conditional directive while using endif cpp: Warning: : 45: Not in a conditional directive while using endif (echo '#ifndef LIBPROFF_H'; echo '#define LIBPROFF_H'; echo; cat str.h; cat extern.h; echo; echo '#endif') > libproff.h gcc -g -O -Wall -I. -I.. -c utils.c In file included from utils.c:16: :6: conflicting types for `strdup' /imec/comp/elsen/gcc/lib/gcc-lib/alpha-dec-osf4.0/2.7.2.2/include/string.h:147: previous declaration of `strdup' :12: parse error before `(' :13: parse error before `(' :14: conflicting types for `strcasecmp' /usr/include/strings.h:94: previous declaration of `strcasecmp' :15: conflicting types for `strncasecmp' /usr/include/strings.h:95: previous declaration of `strncasecmp' *** Exit 1 Stop. *** Exit 1 Stop. I did some fiddling with libproff.h and got an exe but when I start it I get : # ./nntpcached Stack overflow: pid 4593, proc nntpcached, addr 0x11fdfffe0, pc 0x12002015c Segmentation fault (core dumped) Any hints ? (Please reply to elsen@imec.be as I am not on the list), Thanks, Marc.
