FreeBSD 2.2.2

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I've installed 1.0.6.5 on a FreeBSD 2.2.2 box. Nntpcached runs fine the
first time: I can read news, and see that stuff appear in the spool
directory. When I sigterm'ed nntpcached, it refuses to start again;
here's the syslog entry:

Jul 13 20:48:31 madcap nntpcached[793]: history.c:290:Bad file descriptor: couldn't prune history (second fgets())

I thought perhaps I got something wrong, so I zapped this version, installed
1.0.6 from FreeBSD's pre-compiled packages, and started over. Same problem.

My newsreader is trn4-test5x. The FreeBSD box is my home desktop, and I
am the only user.

Any hints? TIA. Cheers.
