I did `make clean' then `make' to avoid undeclared dependency
problems.

Since the rebuilt daemon has been up, that was the only connection to
produce a SIGSEGV signal.  The other connections went flawlessly, and
the daemon now responds correctly after it fails to get a list from
the server, retrying after the minUpdateDelay interval has expired.
