NNTPcached error, too many openfiles?

I came in to work this mornign to find this message in the logs.  There were
only a handful of users hitting news, and the disk space was at 73%.

Solaris 2.6,

Mar 20 20:29:07 Virginia nntpcached[10219]: nntpcache.c:485:Too many open
files: socketpair() failed
Mar 20 20:29:30 Virginia nntpcached[10219]: nntpcache.c:1282:Too many open
files: accept() failed
Mar 20 20:29:31 Virginia nntpcached[10219]: nntpcache.c:485:Too many open
files: socketpair() failed
Mar 20 20:32:14 Virginia nntpcached[10219]: nntpcache.c:1282:Too many open
files: accept() failed
