With my apologies if this is a quesion I should
*FAQ* know the answer to, but I am not seeing it. I accept any
flames.
Question:
Can nntpcached be compiled with TCP_wrapper
support, to augment the nntpcache.access functions?
Situation:
I have a particularly pesky user from another ISP (
yes you uu.net )
attempting to connect to our news server repeatedly. The ISP
refuses to admit this is happening.
NNTPcached refuses connect:
nntpcache-client[20901]: refused connect from unknown@1cust28.tnt4.waterloo.on.da.uu.net
(64.10.148.28)
But I would like to be able to use tcp_wrappers to
spawn a logger and response tool before these connections get to
nntpcached.
If this is not possible, I can accept that, and we
will simply add an access list to our core routers to block this ISP entry
to our network.
Your thoughts are solicited and
appreciated,
