Hi, I'm using Debian 2.2 and the debian package of nntpcache2.3.3 for caching the Newsgroups from our provider and a few local Newsgroups on a local INN. Every few weeks or so nntpcache dies with following logs: Jan 8 12:30:47 uhura nntpcache-client[25639]: sockets.c:446: <- XHDR Subject 34430-34434 Jan 8 12:30:47 uhura nntpcache-client[25639]: 192.168.1.234 cant read Success Jan 8 12:30:47 uhura nntpcache-client[25639]: client task retiring Jan 8 12:30:47 uhura nntpcache-client[25639]: 192.168.1.234 exit articles 0 groups 1 Jan 8 12:30:47 uhura nntpcache-client[25639]: 192.168.1.234 times user 0.01 system 0.05 elapsed 28.00 Jan 8 12:30:47 uhura nntpcache-client[25639]: clean shutdown Jan 8 12:30:47 uhura nntpcached[22566]: nntpcache.c:281:Interrupted system call: SIGSEGV! Jan 8 12:30:48 uhura nntpcached[22566]: clean shutdown with error 1. dumping core for debug analysis restarting nntpcache doesn't work, it brings following logs: Jan 8 16:01:56 uhura nntpcached[22210]: nntpcache.c:281:Bad file descriptor: SIGSEGV! Jan 8 16:01:57 uhura nntpcached[22210]: clean shutdown with error 1. dumping core for debug analysis The only solution is rm -r /var/spool/nntpcache/* and then restarting. Could it help to install 2.4.0beta (from source because there's no .deb yet) Rolf
