Seems you where really lucky!!

Tried your tip. Same as before. I can start nntpcached, but even 4h later,
nothing happened. Connecting with netscape gives:

A News (NNTP) error occurred: initial server rebuild \
in progress (0 groups complete), please try again later.

Recompiled the whole thing. Same. Tried debian packages. Same.

Additional: there is no log output. NOTHING! How can I turn some really
simple maybe stupid debugging messages on like:

xyz: started
xyz: initializing socket on 192.168.x.x, port 1111
xyz: connecting server 192.168.y.y, port 1111
xyz: connection established
xyz: get ...

and so on?

Where are the options?
