Has anyone looked into merging multiple feeds at the newsgroup level? That is, being able to use several news servers to fill in missing articles at the individual newsgroup level to create more complete article lists, rather than merely merging newsgroup lists. An ideal situation would be weighted servers so that if an article was available on multiple servers, you could tell nntpcache which one to prefer (eg one on 100baseT versus a remote server on T1). You could also have multiple backup servers so that if one or more servers was not available, it would fall back to secondary, tertiary, etc servers. Comments?
