Hi!! This is great. Peters mail solved the problem. I brought down the minActive entry to 3 and I could get past the 503 error. Now, the situation is that I have 10 news groups on localhost which runs on port 119 and which i can list with the list command. but i cant list the remote groups on newsgroups.bea.com. and moreover when i try to post something nntpcache complains that noserver accepted the post or 499 is the remote server down? I will be grateful if some one could point out the error or point me to some good documentation.
