-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hi Simon; > "503 initial server rebuild in progress (7 groups complete), > please try > again later." I've had this too, problem between the chair and the keyboard at this end. Normally it means that nntpcache is, as it says, trying to do a rebuild of the group listing. In our case, it related to nntpcache having a news source that we didn't allow through our firewall :) Dumb mistake to make, but easy enough to do - esp. since we have a firewall and two screening routers between the cache and the outside world. Eventually ours did burst into life, after a long long delay. The other thing you might want to check is that your nntpcache.servers file is correct (the proper file format, as well as having groups allocated to servers that actually exist).
