How to avoid fetching of list of groups at reboot?

I have configured nntpcached not to cache articles, as I only use it
for splitting requests between two newsservers, depending on group
name. The 'servers' file:

>#$Id: nntpcache.servers,v 1.13 1997/04/01 12:16:29 proff Exp $
>
>news.inet.tele.dk.	DEFAULT 30d	30d	30d	1m	1m	0d
>sunsite.auc.dk. DEFAULT 30d	30d	30d	1m	1m	0d
>%BeginGroups
># Group pattern	Host
>* news.inet.tele.dk.
>#dk.* sunsite.auc.dk.

Whenever I reboot my computer, nntpcached retrieves 'overview.fmt',
'active', 'active.times' and 'newsgroups' from all the configured
servers. Is there a way of keeping this info between sessions, so the
update can be avoided?
