I *should* mean that the news server was down or timed out. However, I see
you are using the development series so just about any thing goes ;) The
next devel snapshot should be out in a few days, and may address these
problems. Things are coming to ahead. If I don't get carried away again
with new code we should see a feature freeze and a pre1.0 beta quite
shortly.
