unsupport XPAT syntax

I saw this today (I sent them some email asking what reader
they were using)....

<- MODE READER
<- LIST EXTENSIONS
<- GROUP alt.consumers.sweepstakes
<- XPAT FROM  1- **
unrecognized command XPAT FROM  1- **
<- QUIT

Note this sequence actually works on highwind servers.
