Recently my nntpcache stopped working for people with Internet news. Also outlook express is the same. But it works fine for people using Netscape. When internet news connects it grabs the list of groups 23000 of them. It says storing newsgroups in a temporary file and then returns a blank list of groups. Since it used to work with Internet news, the only explanation I can think of is the the number of groups has grown big enough to overflow some internal limit in Internet news. Anyone have any other ideas. Do I simply prune out unnecessary news hierarchies. Will that work or will the groups still be in the active file if I stop carrying them. Robert Cohen Apex Internet
