All, We're tinking around with NNTPCache. It seems to be refreshing the active and active.times file from the upstream news server very regularly ... every 10 minutes or so in fact. Why??? I've got the active and active.times timeout figures in the servers config file set to 24h and 48h respectfully. If nntpcache is going to be refreshing the active file over 100 times a day then this just isnt bandwidth effective at all. Obviously I must be missing something and any answers would be very much appreciated! Regards Douglas Garstang.
