nocem uses a lot of cpu in its child processes. PGP validation of
signatures is processor intensive and I ended up having to upgrade
my polatform in order to keep up.

Load average here is currenlty 1-2 (96Mb p166mmx), however I expect
that will settle when nocem finished ploughing through all the old
messages and only has to deal with current ones (1500-2500 a day
from rough calculations).

Julian, how does nocem know what message it's up to in each group
it's reading and where does it store the pointers?
