Our national Telco (Telstra), thoughfully blew up a Melbourne<->Sydney cable last night. Last word is the cable is still dead, but *.nntpcache.org has been moved though a different router. The route changes *seem* to have propergated ok, but if there is a little flakeness, you know why. Cheers, Julian.
