NIH I-CORPS ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAINING PILOT PROGRAM SHOWCASES RESULTS

WHAT:
Nineteen teams participating in the National Institutes of Health I-Corps team training pilot program <http://sbir.cancer.gov/objects/pdfs/I_Corps_at_NIH_June_2014.pdf> will present their business models for their small business innovation research (SBIR)-funded technologies. The program, modeled after the successful National Science Foundation I-Corps program <http://www.nsf.gov/news/special_reports/i-corps/>, provides scientists with real-world, immersive entrepreneurship training to help them develop viable business models for commercializing new and emerging technologies for the detection, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
