You are going about *all* of this the wrong way, again.  This is like saying 'I want to be the next greatest iOS developer' and not even owning a Mac or an iPhone/iPad.  You *need* hardware for whatever you are going to work on.

Heed all the advice that has already been shoveled your way, both on this topic and Linux in general.  But hey, what do I know.  Maybe you can visualize all that code and how it works in your head.  Myself and many others aren't skilled enough to do that, and need physical hardware in front of us to understand how things work (plus we also like to test code before we give it to others).
