  No. You can't.

But this page http://kernelnewbies.org/OPWfirstpatch  is a awesome
start point for anyone, including myself.
Do a clean up driver as a start point. After that try to find some
spot in linux to help/maintain, but be sure that understand a lot of
that point before sending anything to kernel main list.
