Hi,

The exact boot error message is

{1}[Hardware Error]: Hardware error from APEI Generic Hardware error source: 32993

In the configuration file I selected option xeon.

I am new to kernel updates and need to do this on an ASAP basis, please tell me how to install the kernel.

Also the newer 3.10.12 gives with the same error while booting.

Thanks
Rakhi

Could you give us the related boot message that shows the error?

As for suggestion, try to compile it using different processor arch
config during make config. What were you using at that time? Xeon?
Pentium IV?
