Hi,

These are character devices for I/O.

/dev/tty0 is a special device, representing the current terminal.
/dev/tty1 is the  first virtual terminal,  /dev/tty1 is second virtual terminal
(usually there are 6 virtual terminals).

The other /dev/tty* are for other purposes.
