Dear all... As you probably know, Con Kolivas, a (not so) "retired" kernel developer creates BFS scheduler quite recently. Some people tested it and said it is better than mainline CFS in the term of throughput. Some Linux distro made it as default scheduler too (Zenwalk IIRC...maybe PCLinuxOS too...I read that somewhere, distrowatch maybe). But... how about your personal experience? Although I haven't tested yet, about 2-3 years I was fairly impressed with his another creation, Staircase scheduler. It offers lower latency in some cases e.g multimedia. So, I bet BFS would offer much quite alike experience too... So, who's going to share?.... -- regards, Mulyadi Santosa Freelance Linux trainer and consultant blog: the-hydra.blogspot.com training: mulyaditraining.blogspot.com -- To unsubscribe from this list: send an email with "unsubscribe kernelnewbies" to ecartis@xxxxxxxxxxxx Please read the FAQ at http://kernelnewbies.org/FAQ
