  thanks.  the reason i asked was that there appeared to be more than
one solution and i was interested in the *primary* real-time
solution for linux these days.  i was aware of that first link, i just
wanted to make sure there weren't other equally viable ones since
life's too short to learn multiple ways to do the same thing.
