yes i copied all the things micheal...Alright now and now i get the below things...but i cant understand what it is....

root@sharief-desktop:/home/sharief/Desktop/vidrivers# gcc vgrabx.c -Wall -lX11 -o vgrabx
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11

I have used the 'X11' library for picture display. 
The attached program is an example. Compile it with:

   # gcc vgrabx.c -Wall -lX11 -o vgrabx
