I believe the standard (recommended) way of doing this is using the EXTRA_CFLAGS
variable in your makefile.  Adding:

  EXTRA_CFLAGS := -I../include

should be enough for your code to work.

Take a look at Documentation/kbuild/modules.txt file ;)
