Re: gadget_serial

Hi,

There is no drivers/usb/gadget/serial.c in kernel 2.4.37-rc1.

I was just wondering about the lines in documentation of kernel 2.6.x
in Documentation/usb/gadget_serial.txt that this driver part exists for
kernel 2.4 too. From: Documentation/usb/gadget_serial.txt :
---8<---
...
Prerequisites
 -------------
Versions of the gadget serial driver are available for the
2.4 Linux kernels, but this document assumes you are using
version 2.3 or later of the gadget serial driver in a 2.6
 Linux kernel.
...
---8<---

If I understand it correctly: the whole stuff below drivers/usb/serial/
(kernel 2.4.x the same like kernel 2.6.x) is completely related to
host side. -> I am looking for the other end: the gadget driver for
'serial over usb' which I expected to be found in drivers/usb/gadget/serial.c
even too in the kernel 2.4.x tree.

Anyone else ? Did this file ever exist?

Thanks
TR
