How about migrating to googlegroups? It allows:

a. htmlized emails to be rendered as htmlized posting. Ie, you can
even colour your wordings with different color and fonts - but must be
done through an email client.
b. pictures/attachments allowed (email-client based).
c. web-browser based posting - only TEXT can be entered though (no
fonts/color/attachment etc)
d. ZERO maintainenance/administrator hassle.

Alternatively.....u can also put a forwarding to googlegroups....just
like public groups comp.xxxx have appeared in googlegroups.
