What is the reason for "section type conflict"?

I was puzzled today, as several of machines all compiled the latest git pulled kernel with the following errors:

  CHK     include/linux/version.h
  CHK     include/linux/utsrelease.h
  CALL    scripts/checksyscalls.sh
  CHK     include/linux/compile.h
  CC [M]  drivers/net/sis190.o
drivers/net/sis190.c:329: error: sis190_pci_tbl causes a section type conflict
make[2]: *** [drivers/net/sis190.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [drivers/net] Error 2
make: *** [drivers] Error 2

How do I go about resolving it?
