Hi, I'm using Kubuntu 7.10. But I don't see the /proc/config.gz file
exists. Could I use the /boot/config-2.6.22-14-generic instead?

If 'uname -a' command has the string "2.6.22-14-generic"
anywhere. Then you can subsitute your /proc/config.gz
with "/boot/config-2.6.22-14-generic".

For "/proc/config.gz" to appear you need to enable
CONFIG_CONFIGFS_FS option in your config file.

And the "use" you mean use it as a .config file?

Thanks!

You have put this aptly. This is excatly what i meant.

Thanks.

Apologies. Instead, for /proc/config.gz to appear IKCONFIG and
IKCONFIG_PROC under under "general setup"
option must be enabled.

Thanks.
