Hi..

3. It is not swapped out to disk.
After 2nd thought and checking http://lxr.linux.no/source/arch/i386/lib/usercopy.c#L849, I see no function related to making sure the related page(s) aren't swapped out. So, I think it's OK if it hits swapped out pages since AFAIK code paths that use copy_{to,from}_user are free to sleep.
