Hi,
I changed a function in the file include/asm/string.h and included a
global variable. I defined this global variable in init/main.c and
compile the 2.4.27 (very old ;)) kernel.
Usual routine, can you show us the diff the file so we have an idea of
what you have done? :)
Most likely, you need to add EXPORT_SYMBOL(your_symbol) in string.h...
but this is just a guess.
