Kernel shutdown questions

Hi,

I am working with an embedded system, and as part of the shutdown I
need to set a GPIO line high, so that the power supply disconnects. At
the moment Linux "says" system halted, but the power supply remains
connected I was wondering how to do this?

The embedded system I am using is utilising sysdev_class to handle
.resume and .suspend, so I was wondering if I put in a handler for
.shutdown would this work? Is this the way to do this?

TIA
