Hi..
hi to all,
i am using vmware when i run command #uname -r in guest OS then it is showing guest OS kernel version.
means two kernel are running.how it is possible?....
In short words: one kernel runs in ring 0, the other runs in higher ring. It could be ring 1, ring 2 or 3. In most cases, ring 3 is chosen. In more simpler words, guest OS actually runs as ordinary user space application, with limited-to-none access to lower layer (read: device driver layer).

regards,

Mulyadi
